Taking in road, gravel and single-track in one ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"strava-embed-placeholder\" data-embed-type=\"activity\" data-embed-id=\"7474177845\"><\/div><script src=\"https:\/\/strava-embeds.com\/embed.js\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Snap, crackle and pop&#8221; took the first Grizedale trip in its stride, so next up, more singletrack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"strava-embed-placeholder\" data-embed-type=\"activity\" data-embed-id=\"7500963936\"><\/div><script src=\"https:\/\/strava-embeds.com\/embed.js\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rockshox SID Select pop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Identified the source of the popping..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1280\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 720 \/ 1280;\" width=\"720\" controls src=\"http:\/\/www.astill.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/IMG_1033.mov\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The fork was warranty repaired by SRAM us with a new damper installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cracking BB Bearings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After the first few rides there was a lot of noise coming from the crank\/bottom bracket and the bike was christened &#8220;Snap, crackle and pop&#8221;. Without the tools at had this would have to wait until the bike got back to the home shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After removing the crank, the chainring was a little loose so the crank was removed. The cassette had well and truly got itself attached to the hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once running it was a nice setup, switching between 32\/18 and 34\/20. Using an AXS system off another bike, this was a sweet 12 speed setup, of course the NX cassette dropped to half price the week after buying it. Buying separate wheels like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chainreactioncycles.com\/us\/en\/hope-fortus-26-mountain-bike-front-wheel\/rp-prod190075?utm_source=CRM&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=OrderConfirmation&amp;utm_content=US\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.chainreactioncycles.com\/us\/en\/hope-fortus-26-mountain-bike-front-wheel\/rp-prod190075?utm_source=CRM&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=OrderConfirmation&amp;utm_content=US\">Hope Fortus<\/a> it&#8217;s an easy task, but when the wheel comes as a wheel set, like the <a href=\"https:\/\/rovalcomponents.com\/products\/terra-c\">Roval Terra<\/a> C , then the challenge gets more interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Terra C is a road\/gravel wheel set. This brings with it some differences for an MTB bike, such as the Shimano Road Hub on the rear wheel <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.treefortbikes.com\/DT-Swiss-Ratchet-LN-Freehub-Body-Upgrade-Kit-Shimano-HG-11-MTN-18T?utm_source=google&amp;utm_medium=cpc&amp;adpos=&amp;scid=scplp333222451742&amp;sc_intid=333222451742&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQiA45qdBhD-ARIsAOHbVdEX490MVpdsGAXiw5PH7zMby-GgvhPTyHXjRw5zlPibbAF6q0HUT9MaAp8KEALw_wcB\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.treefortbikes.com\/DT-Swiss-Ratchet-LN-Freehub-Body-Upgrade-Kit-Shimano-HG-11-MTN-18T?utm_source=google&amp;utm_medium=cpc&amp;adpos=&amp;scid=scplp333222451742&amp;sc_intid=333222451742&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQiA45qdBhD-ARIsAOHbVdEX490MVpdsGAXiw5PH7zMby-GgvhPTyHXjRw5zlPibbAF6q0HUT9MaAp8KEALw_wcB\" target=\"_blank\">DT 370 Hub<\/a>. The Single Speed Gates Ratchets fit nicely on this, the SRAM Eagle NX does not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To run the NX Eagle would require adding a new Hub. If doing this to add the AXS, perhaps a XD hub would be a better choice.
